Hi, I’m Shana and I am the Practice Manager here at Elk Plaza Dental.  I joined Dr. Hunter’s team in late 2022 and it has been a very great experience!  The team here at Elk Plaza is so fun to be around every day, which makes coming to work so enjoyable along with seeing our exceptional patients!

I come with many years of experience working in dentistry – in both general and multiple specialties.  Since I started out as a Dental Assistant straight out of high school, I have been able to gain a well-rounded education and experience in how a dental office works from front to back.  This has helped me in many aspects of my job as Practice Manager, including being able to give well-informed answers to the many questions patients have so they can have the best possible experience here.  My education includes a BS in Marketing and a BS In Organizational Administration as well as countless Dental Practice Management continuing education courses and Leadership Training. I am also a lifetime member of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM), which reflects my long-term commitment to professional growth and excellence in dental practice management.

My husband Dave and I live in Andover and together we have a blended family of six kids – Jourdain, Amber, Jake, Jadon, Jazmin, and Jaidyn.  Together we like to travel and camp, entertain family and friends, garden, cook/bake, attend concerts, visit breweries/distilleries, play cards/games, and binge-watch true crime documentaries.
